Nordic Chambers Exchange Best Practices and Insights in Stockholm
Last week, colleagues from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway gathered in Stockholm to exchange experiences, share best practices, and discuss the future of trade documentation services.
It was particularly interesting to compare how each country promotes and administers ATA Carnets. While our approaches differ, we all face many of the same challenges: increasing awareness, improving digital services, and supporting businesses navigating international trade. All participating chambers reported positive experiences with e-ATA Carnets, with encouraging feedback from customers and growing acceptance of digital processes.
We also received an insightful presentation on the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and its role in helping small and medium-sized businesses access international markets, innovation opportunities, funding, and business partnerships across Europe and beyond.
We share a strong interest in digital trade solutions, and many chambers have highlighted ICC Genesis as a promising opportunity for the future of trade documentation. OCC Norway has already taken several steps in assessing the platform, including discussions with ICC and chambers currently using the solution. We are now exploring how it could support the Norwegian market, which companies may benefit most, and what would be required to introduce the service locally. We see potential for ICC Genesis to become a valuable tool for Norwegian exporters in the future and look forward to sharing our experiences with our Nordic chamber colleagues in the months ahead.
