A customer story

How do you make travelling with product samples across borders simple and seamless?

Bon Dep is a renowned Scandinavian accessories brand and ATA Carnet customer of Oslo Chamber of Commerce / ICC Norway. We spoke with their Operations Coordinator, Marie Bjerke, about how ATA Carnet facilitates the company’s participation in trade fairs across Europe.

One of Bon Dep’s iconic products: the KKNEKKI hair ties.

– What did you use the ATA Carnet for, and where did you travel?

– We use the ATA Carnet when attending trade fairs abroad, including in Denmark and France. For us, trade fairs are an important opportunity to present new collections and meet customers and business partners. This means we need to bring product samples with us from Norway.

– What kind of goods or equipment did you bring with you?
We bring product samples that we present at the trade fairs. These goods are only used for display purposes during our stay and are brought back to Norway after the fairs.

– How did the ATA Carnet work in practice?
– The process has been very smooth for us, including when going through customs. We have received excellent support and guidance, both during the preparations and when finalising the ATA Carnet, making it easy to ensure that everything is correct before departure. Once the documentation is in place, we find the travel and customs process efficient and straightforward.

– What was the biggest benefit for you?
– The biggest benefit for us has been the transition to the digital ATA Carnet. It saves us a significant amount of time and paperwork and makes the entire process much easier when bringing collection samples to trade fairs abroad. For us, this means less administration and more time to focus on the trade fair itself and our customers.
