We take your personal information seriously and we promise to treat it safely as long as it is stored with us.
Purpose of processing personal data
The purpose of using personal information and the types of personal information we will use will be specifically disclosed or shown in the context of your contact with us. The purpose of our processing of personal information is usually to handle inquiries from you or to provide you with a service or products that you have requested.
The framework for our processing of personal data
Our processing of personal information takes place within the framework of current Norwegian law and regulations. The legal basis is as follows:
- The processing is necessary to fulfill an agreement with you (such as your membership with us), to perform any tasks prior to such an agreement, to perform any services you have ordered from us or for the OCC to fulfill a legal obligation.
- You have given us separate consent to a specified type of service, such as subscribing to newsletters, publications and/or receiving invitations. This is usually agreed when entering into a membership agreement. We will never ask your permission to consent on behalf of others in the company.
- You have given your consent to process your data in order to perform a service you have ordered from one of our departments.
You will always be given the opportunity to be removed from our lists and systems if you prefer.
Deletion and anonymization
We will delete your personal information once we have handled your inquiry, fulfilled the agreement or our legal obligation. The information we use for distribution or marketing purposes, will be deleted if you ask us, either by contacting us, as explained below, or in the links in our emails to you.
Alternatively to deletion, we may remove identifying information from your personal information so that the information can no longer be associated with you (anonymization). Such anonymous information can be used in our experience archive, to prepare analyzes and statistics, and to customize and develop OCC’s services in relation to consumers’ wishes and needs.
Storing of personal information
The personal information will be stored on Microsoft servers in Europe. If it becomes necessary to provide Microsoft in other countries temporarily access systems where the information is stored, for example, in case of correction, satisfactory privacy guarantees are secured through the EU Standard Agreement and / or the EU / US Privacy Shield Agreement. We have entered into data processing agreements with all our external suppliers and are sure that anyone who processes personal information for us follows the new rules.

Contact us at mail@chamber.no if you want access to, retrieve, correct or delete personal information stored about you. Similarly, you may object to, require the limitation or withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data. Otherwise, you have the opportunity to complain about the processing of your personal data to the Data Inspectorate.
