OCC and ANCC brought together key business and diplomatic representatives from the GCC region

Yesterday, Oslo Chamber of Commerce / ICC Norway (OCC/ICCN), together with the Arab-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (ANCC), hosted an evening of insightful conversations, good drinks and great food.
As part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ annual Station Chiefs’ Week, where ambassadors from Norway’s diplomatic missions gather in Oslo, we wanted to bring together business representatives with a presence in, or interest in, the GCC region.
The evening provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue and discussion, with participants able to ask questions and exchange perspectives with Kjersti Tromsdal, Norway’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Olav Myklebust, Ambassador of Norway to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait. We were also pleased to welcome representatives from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Innovation Norway.

The evening began with a warm welcome from ANCC Chairman Ole Johan Sandvær and our own Anne Britt Horn Hanssen, who welcomed the guests and set the stage for an engaging evening of dialogue and discussion.

Following the opening remarks, the ambassadors took the floor to provide an update on the countries they represent, covering the current conflict situation, the business environment, and how they actively engage with local authorities on behalf of Norwegian businesses.
