Nordic Chambers Exchange Best Practices and Insights in Stockholm

Last week, colleagues from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway gathered in Stockholm to exchange experiences, share best practices, and discuss the future of trade documentation services.

It was particularly interesting to compare how each country promotes and administers ATA Carnets. While our approaches differ, we all face many of the same challenges: increasing awareness, improving digital services, and supporting businesses navigating international trade. All participating chambers reported positive experiences with e-ATA Carnets, with encouraging feedback from customers and growing acceptance of digital processes.

We also received an insightful presentation on the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and its role in helping small and medium-sized businesses access international markets, innovation opportunities, funding, and business partnerships across Europe and beyond.

Another topic of discussion was ICC Genesis and the ongoing digital transformation of trade documentation. While there is clear interest in digital solutions, many chambers highlighted the practical challenges of implementation, including resource requirements and operational complexity.
