Global Economic Outlook with Peter Warren

To kick-off the fall season, Oslo Chamber of Commerce (OCC)/ICC Norway (ICCN) and our partner Danske Bank welcomed participants to our Global Economic Outlook (GEO) – this time in conversation with Norwegian trader and investor Peter Warren.

GEO is a series of morning events gathering our members and networks to a quarterly status report from seasoned business leaders and experts on markets, trade, and geopolitics. The panels are always preceded by a light breakfast and informal mingling, serving as a dynamic meeting place for members, embassies and bilateral chambers.

Warren provided his perspectives built on over 30 years of experience in financial markets. He played a key role in launching the Norwegian equity options market in 1987 and has worked as a hedge fund manager specializing in global macro strategies.

During the conversation, Warren shared first-hand observations from the front-line in Ukraine and reflected on the contrast between the state of geopolitics and financial markets. The outlook also covered topics such as the influence of US and China on global trade, bond markets and the future of the Norwegian economy.
