Free Trade Agreement with Viet Nam Creates Opportunities for Norwegian Businesses

Today, we were delighted to welcome H.E. Le Thi Thu, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Norway, to Oslo Chamber of Commerce / ICC Norway for a valuable discussion on trade, investment, and opportunities to strengthen commercial ties between our two countries.

The visit comes at an important time, following the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement between the EFTA States and Viet Nam. The agreement will create new opportunities for Norwegian businesses through improved market access, reduced trade barriers, and a stronger framework for economic cooperation with Viet Nam.

Several of our members are already active in Viet Nam, and we see growing interest from the Norwegian business community in the opportunities the country offers in sectors such as aquaculture and circular economy.

We look forward to continuing the dialogue and supporting closer collaboration between Norwegian and Vietnamese businesses in the years ahead.
