First Meeting of ICC Norway’s Commercial Law and Practice Commission
How can the ICC Incoterms® rules be modernized to better address evolving business needs in global trade? This was the question in focus at the first official meeting of the Norwegian ICC Commission for Commercial Law and Practice yesterday.
The Commission is organized under the auspices of Oslo Chamber of Commerce / ICC Norway and is composed of leading Norwegian experts in commercial law, customs, and trade facilitation. Martin Berntzen Often from KPMG Law is constituted as chair of the Commission.
The role of the commission is to provide input from the Norwegian perspective to the global Commercial Law and Practice Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce. The Incoterms® 2030 are currently being developed and a key topic for the Commission in the time ahead will therefore be to produce recommendations for updates based on the members’ longstanding expertise and practical insights.
