Webinar on the EFTA–India Free Trade Agreement and GSP Imports from India

Many companies are interested in utilizing the new free trade agreement between European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and India. To support businesses in understanding the rules and opportunities under the agreement, Norwegian Customs regularly hosts webinars where companies can ask questions and receive guidance.

Recently, Norwegian Customs held a webinar focusing on the rules of origin under the EFTA–India free trade agreement, as well as the use of the Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) for imports from India. The session covered practical aspects such as documentation requirements, proof of origin for exports from Norway and imports to Norway, and how the agreement interacts with the GSP scheme.

The webinar was open to exporters, producers, importers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders seeking to better understand how to apply the agreement in practice. Participants also had the opportunity to submit questions and discuss specific challenges related to trade with India.
