Anne Britt Horn Hanssen appointed Secretary General of the Oslo Chamber of Commerce
The Oslo Chamber of Commerce (OCC) has named Anne Britt Horn Hanssen as its new Secretary General. Mrs Horn Hanssen brings extensive expertise in business, organizational leadership and strategic development to the role.
“We live in a time where international trade and collaboration face increasing challenges due to geopolitical rivalry, trade barriers and growing uncertainty. This makes institutions and meeting places that foster trust, cooperation and predictability in global trade more critical than ever,” says Anne Britt Horn Hanssen.
OCC is a member-based organization dedicated to promoting international trade and cooperation through networks, events and services for globally active companies. As Norway’s national committee for the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), OCC plays a vital role in facilitating international business connections.
“OCC/ICC Norway prioritizes strong ties with the business community and seeks to unite companies with global ambitions. Mrs Horn Hanssen has demonstrated a strong ability to build organizations, develop partnerships and inspire collective action. Her expertise will be invaluable for OCC in the years ahead,” says Audun Iversen, Chairman of the Board at OCC.
In recent years, Horn Hanssen has contributed to development projects with Innovation Norway, focusing on export initiatives and green transition for Norwegian businesses.
“OCC serves as a vital meeting place for international businesses. I am excited to contribute to the continued development of this community and to strengthening cooperation between Norwegian and international enterprises,” concludes Horn Hanssen.
Mrs Horn Hanssen has a distinguished career that includes co-founding and serving as Managing Director of Olivia Assist, where she oversaw the company’s growth from start-up to over 250 employees, with partnerships spanning more than 60 Norwegian municipalities. She has also held the role of Deputy CEO at AssisterMeg. Additionally, she has worked with UNICEF Norway, forging partnerships with organisations and businesses to advance its mission.
Anne Britt Horn Hanssen will begin her role at OCC on June 1.
