Global Exhibitions Day June 2nd 2021

On 2 June 2021, the trade fair industry worldwide will celebrate the Global Exhibitions Day.

This year, as an initiative of UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry – the Industry Day celebrates the safe re-start of the fairs and their important role in economic recovery.

Around the world, the coronavirus pandemic has halted most trade show activity for months, sometimes for more than a year. Globally, the industry’s turnover has fallen by almost three quarters, and the impact on the services involved is enormous. In Germany, the trade fair cancellations result in overall economic losses of 40 billion euros.

In some regions, the traffic lights for the trade fair restart are now green. The trade fair organisers and their service partners have worked together with the health authorities to develop concepts for safe trade fairs. The trade fairs and the exhibition grounds are therefore ready for a safe new start.

If you are planning to attend a trade fair – the Oslo Chamber of Commerce are ready to assist you with temporary export and import procedures!
