Expo 2020 and the Norwegian pavilion are ready to receive visitors in Dubai. The world exhibition offers a completely unique selection of fascinating innovations and insights from the sustainable businesses of the future, solutions that will save the climate, combined with entertainment from around the world. This in combination with the sun and heat of Dubai makes out an exciting stay.

Emirates, which is a member of Oslo Chamber of Commerce is the premium partner and the official airline of Expo 2020 Dubai. The world exhibition makes the stay in Dubai unique with pavilions from 190 nations from all over the world that focus on sustainability that is both educational, fascinating, and sensational. The exhibition area, which is twice the size of Monaco, also offers over 50 restaurants and spectacular shows from some of the world’s best artists, orchestras, dancers, and entertainers from around the world, daily.

Dubai has throughout the summer been a very popular destination for Norwegians, and we see that many will travel there this autumn and winter as well. All Emirates passengers who travel to Dubai during the Expo get a free day pass to the exhibition, which we hope people will take advantage of. It really is a spectacular area and so much exciting to look at and experience, says Norwegian Emirates manager, Terje Grue.

Norway’s pavilion takes the sea seriously and is completely unique
The World Exhibition in Dubai opens on October 1, and in the six months to March 31, 2022, the area will be packed with entertainment, exhibitions, food, and experiences. The Norwegian pavilion is ready to receive visitors from all over the world, with a focus on the sustainable use of marine resources.

– The Norwegian pavilion offers a unique experience unlike all the other pavilions. We do not present businesses but focus on solutions. Here, visitors can join a scheduled journey of 20 minutes where we showcase the technology that exists for sustainable marine industry, says Dag Olav Koppervik, Dty Commissioner General / Project Director for the Norwegian pavilion.

World championship in chess, sun and heat
Both the city of Dubai and Expo 2020 provide opportunities for everyone to find something of interest. The world exhibition has a lot to offer for families, young and old couples, those who are on a business trip or those who want to travel alone. Topics you can delve into include technology, innovation, climate, sustainability, food, energy, and health.

Expo 2020 will be the Olympics and the World Cup combined in innovation, technology, art, cross-border cooperation, and food experiences. This combined with the good climate of the United Arab Emirates, all the attractions that are available in addition to the many great hotels and resorts, makes a visit to Expo 2020 not only an experience not to be missed, but probably the ultimate trip where you can combine both education, experiences, and pure relaxation, Koppervik concludes.

If you want to visit Expo, it is smart to plan a little in advance what you want to see. Among other things, the World Chess Championship will be held there, with our own Magnus Carlsen in the lead if anyone should want to experience it. We recommend combining a visit to Expo with a few days on the beach in Dubai, and not least exploring the city otherwise as well. Whether you travel with children or are an adult couple, you will find restaurants, hotels, activities, and experiences that suit, says Grue.

For a fully vaccinated person, there are no requirements for entry registration, tests or quarantine when returning home to Norway. This makes it easy to take a trip to Dubai. With a flight of only six hours and a time difference of only two, it makes the city a relatively nearby destination. Whether you want to explore Dubai alone or as a family, there has never been a better time to visit Dubai this winter season. Emirates current promotions and discounts include:
